The Kid in Us

There used to be a kid in each one of us. He could see things black and white and knew what was right and what was wrong. He always seemed to be able to see things in such an objective way that he instantly knew what the best approach was. The way that should be taken was clear to him.

Growing up and going through experiences, some assumptions that the kid made proved to be incorrect. It was decided to bury the kid down and experience the world with an open mind. Soon, the kid was gone. What was left was a confused and tired guy. He went from one approach to another, experienced it and tried to find his way, often stumbling into darkness. Somehow, the young kid always had the answers and most of the time they were probably the correct ones as well. The guy travelling alone had only questions with the kid calling from the void once in a while.

Is it better to bring that young kid back, listen to him and follow the path or is it better to keep stumbling around ? Not making any assumptions like the young kid made. It’s a long path, one with many mistakes. Who do we asked for guidance when everybody is lost.
